What is an under-mattress sleep sensor?

How a contactless sleep sensor mat tracks nightly patterns without requiring a smartwatch or fitness tracker.

A sensing layer beneath the sleeper

An under-mattress sleep sensor sits below the mattress rather than on the wrist. It captures sleep-related signals without requiring a person to charge, wear or remember another device, which makes it suitable for a mattress experience designed to work every night.

From signals to a nightly report

The sensing pipeline converts supported signals into a timeline that can include awake, light, deep and REM stages, heart-rate and respiratory-rate trends, snoring events and summary measures. These outputs are informational product data rather than medical diagnosis.

Why mattress brands need more than hardware

A useful sensor program also needs installation guidance, identity and device management, mobile presentation, data storage and stable interfaces. iSleep Labs connects those layers through ISLSleep, white-label apps, Self-Hosted deployment, REST, CLI, MCP and Agent Skills.
